My name is Michele :)

I’m a former journalist and then deputy editor of SHAPE Malaysia who’s also worked as a fitness and nutrition coach.

I’m an emotional eating survivor who took over 20 years to heal my relationship with food and my body with education, patience and learning to be kind to myself.

Depression and narcissistic abuse knocked me down for years, but now I’m back on my feet and finding power in my pain.

I write to process the stuff that hurts, but I also write to share everything I’m learning in my pursuit of a calmer life.

Oh, and I love cats (currently house-training a chonk of my own) and have recently discovered how amazing grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches are 🥪 (anyone else?).
